RAYMUND ARNOLD S. ALBERTO or RASA is a Licensed Geodetic Engineer and a Filipino businessman with interests in Land Surveying and Geomatics. RASA was born on November 26, 1969, in Quezon City, Philippines. He is married with 3 children. He attended Claret School of Quezon City from primary school to secondary school and studied Geodetic Engineering at University of the Philippines, Diliman and earned units in Remote Sensing and Urban Planning. He ranked 4th place in 1994 Board Examinations in Geodetic Engineering and he also passed the licensure examination for Real Estate Brokers which is now formally offered as four (4) year course by the Philippine Regulation Commission. After his oath taking as a Licensed Geodetic Engineer he started to manage his own business and established his own company namely “RASA SURVEYING AND REALTY”. He joined and became an active member in different professional societies and held different positions in various professional affiliations.
In keeping with his company’s thrusts of “Traversing the Path of Surveying Technology”, he makes sure that it catches up with the latest trends in the field of Geomatics by attending International Conferences and adapting the knowledge and experience to his professional practice. He attended various conventions, seminars, workshops and other speaking engagements in the Philippines and Abroad.
As he slowly developed his client base in the geospatial industry for almost two decades now, RASA became a preferred company to do almost all high profile engineering projects both in private and government. RASA is continuously serving both local and international consultants in assisting them to produce high quality and accurate maps as a reference in developing key infrastructures here in the Philippines. From this flagship company emerged numerous successful ventures in distributorship of high technology surveying equipment, distribution of Engineering and Mapping Software and High Resolution Satellite Imagery.
Today, he is still continuing the service by teaching Geodetic Engineering students in UP and FEATI University.
In 2000 up to present, RASA has received numerous plaques of recognition and awards from different private entity and organizations for his continuous contribution on his field.
Despite of his busy schedule, he is still able to serve the Geodetic Engineers of the Philippines (GEP) and was recognized as the Most Outstanding Regional President in 2010 and as the Most Outstanding Geodetic Engineer in Private Practice a year after. In the Year 2012 he was recognized as Outstanding Alumnus of the UP- Department of Geodetic Engineering. Last year (2013) he was also recognized as Outstanding Professional of the Year by the Philippine Regulation Commission.
Apart from this, Engr. Alberto was tasked to organize the first South East Asian Survey Congress here in the Philippines that was held at PICC last June 18-20, 2013.
He also became a Centennial President of the Rotary Club of Roces in 2004 as a means of bringing back Service Above Self to the community.
RASA Surveying and Realty has also supported small projects in education, culture and sports; health and social welfare; research; and manpower development in his community. To date, RASA SURVEYING and Realty provides jobs to at least 300 people.
