OSGeo Philippines (OSGeo-PH), the University of Philippines Department of Geodetic Engineering (UPD-GE) FOSSLab, OpenStreetMap-Philippines (OSM-PH) and the Environmental Science for Social Change (ESSC) with support from the World Bank will organize a series of workshops and technical presentations showcasing free and open source software for geospatial (FOSS4G) as part of the PhilGEOS 2014.
PHILGEOS FOSS4G TECHNICAL SESSION
There will be a technical session for FOSS4G track in the main conference which will include 10-15 minute paper presentations that will also be included in the PhilGEOS proceedings journal. The Paper submision and review will go through the similar selection process outlined by the PhilGEOS organizing committee. To register and submit an abstract click HERE.
On November 29, 2014, there will be seven three-hour hands-on workshops that aim to give the participants direct experience in using different FOSS4G software. The workshops will be at GE Theater 4th Floor Melchor Hall College of Engineering, UP Diliman (map) from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. To participate in the workshops, please bring your own laptops.
